How To Connect Klipsch R-26F

Are you setting up Klipsch R-26F floor standing speakers for the first time? Follow these simple steps!

1. Setting Up The Speakers

1). Connect your wires to the binding posts, following the instructions in your owner’s manual.

2). Using what you learned in step 1, connect your wires to the binding posts on the back of the amp by using banana plugs and spades. (Your owner’s manual will tell you which plugs to use.) You can also connect them directly if you don’t have connectors.

3). Plug your speaker cables into the back of the amp, again using banana plugs and spades. If you have multiple sets of speaker wires coming from each speaker, use a switch box. Just make sure that it’s only active when all of the speakers are on—otherwise, it would throw off your sound.

4). Flip that switch! And bask in your new sound system.

2. Connecting To A Music Source

We want to give you a step-by-step guide to connect your floor standing speakers via binding posts and bi-wiring, as well as bi-amping.

Step 1: First, you’ll need to make sure you have enough speaker wire for the job.

Step 2: Next, you’ll need to make sure both of your speakers are connected to the same amplifier.

Step 3: Then, both of your speakers should be connected to the same source, whether that be an iPod, an iPhone, or a computer.

Step 4: Now, both of your speakers should be connected to each other with speaker wire via binding posts and bi-wiring.

Step 5: Finally, connect your speakers to both an amplifier and a source. To do this, there will be two sets of binding posts on each speaker—one set for the woofer and one set for the tweeter. The black cable connects to the tweeter binding post on one speaker and the woofer binding post on the other speaker.
