“The Klipsch R-26F Floorstanding Speakers are one of the best sounding speakers you can get. They’ve got excellent bass, clear and loud highs, and the mids are clear and crisp.”

Standout. That’s the first word that comes to mind when I think about the Klipsch R-26F floor-standing speakers. When I moved into my new apartment, I realized that my old home theater system just didn’t sound right in my new living room. So I opted for the Klipsch R-26F tower speakers alongside my Klipsch RP-250FA powered subwoofer and was not disappointed!

The 400 watts 6.5″ woofers are contained within acoustically inert cabinets that provide a tight bass response. The 1″ titanium dome tweeters provide smooth highs up to 35k Hz. They will make every movie you watch or song you listen to that much more enjoyable.

→ Tweeter

When you’re building the home theater of your dreams, you can’t skimp on the tweeter. It doesn’t matter if you have the best woofer around and a gorgeous cabinet; without a high-quality tweeter, it will all be for naught.

That’s why I was so excited to hear about Klipsch’s new R-26F floor standing speaker. The dynamic 1″ aluminum Linear Travel Suspension tweeter on this speaker minimizes distortion while enhancing the detailed performance that Klipsch is famous for. The LTS tweeters are a hallmark of the Reference series, making it a standout in terms of acoustic performance and clarity.

In addition, the tweeter has a horn-loaded design, which means it can create a dynamic range of sound at a lower volume. This means that you’re able to fill your room with rich, full sound without blowing out your eardrums. The horn-loaded design also allows for optimum clarity and detail in the music or movie that you’re listening to.

Plus, the titanium tweeter diaphragm’s lightweight yet rigid composition exceeds the performance of aluminum, polymer, or silk tweeters.

“The moment I set my eyes on these speakers, I knew they were the ones. The moment I turned them on, I knew that was true.

I’m sensitive to noise and loud sounds, so even listening to music can be painful for me. But because of the dynamic 1″ aluminum Linear Travel Suspension tweeter in these speakers, I can finally listen to music and podcasts again without worrying about making my ears bleed!

Not only do they have a soothing sound, but the bass is rich and full, too. They make me feel like I’m at a concert every time I turn them on, even when I’m just folding laundry.

You guys really knocked it out of the park with this one!”

→ Woofer

The Klipsch R26F floor standing speaker is a marvel of modern audio engineering, and one of the key reasons why is its IMG woofer. The dual 6.5″ copper-spun woofers are designed to push out plenty of power, which means you’ll be able to hear more details in your music and have a more immersive movie experience at home.

The IMG woofer is injection molded graphite, which is exceptionally light and extremely rigid, producing minimal cone breakup and distortion. This makes the speaker efficiency the highest in its class, with enhanced sensitivity of up to 100dB.

The woofer design is based on Klipsch’s exclusive Cerametallic material, which has been used to make some of the most durable speakers available today. This unique formula uses an injection molding process that allows for both strength and flexibility at the same time – creating a high-performance driver capable of producing extremely low frequencies with a minimal breakup or distortion even at high volume levels.

Therefore, you can enjoy your favorite music or movie in ultra-clear quality that sounds as if it were being performed right in front of you. You can experience everything from rich bass tones to crisp vocals without ever missing a beat or sound effect.

“I’ve always loved to listen to music, but my husband is the one who’s always been the audiophile. He has all the latest tech, and he absolutely loves it. But I’m a musician, so I know the quality when I hear it.

I was intrigued when he first got these speakers home because they were different from what he normally buys. The speakers are 6.5 inches in diameter, with copper-spun woofers that really enhance the bass. The midranges and highs are also powerful, and they don’t break up at all. We tested them—we actually just blasted music for hours on end while we were unpacking our latest move to a new state—and they didn’t even get warm!

We thought about these speakers for a long time before we bought them, but it was worth every minute of deliberation. These speakers are just perfect for someone like me who loves music!”

→ Cabinet

The Klipsch R26F is a uniquely designed piece of art that will steal the show as soon as you start playing your favorite music. Its sleek, modern look will make your guests stop and stare, while its elegant curves and artistic shape will make it hard to take your eyes off this masterpiece.

This speaker cabinet has an ultra-slim profile, making it a perfect match for any room in your house. In addition, the black finish adds to its contemporary aesthetic, giving it an appearance that can easily match any decor style.

The cabinet itself is made from MDF, which is an engineered wood that is highly resistant to warping and cracking while also providing excellent sonic properties. The sleek black veneer is a sharp addition to any room, but it’s also incredibly durable and strong. Don’t worry about scratches or dents; your speakers will still look good even after years of use.

“The MDF cabinet with a black veneer finish is just beautiful and makes me feel like I’m in one of those high-end hotels—even though I’m just watching the game with friends in the garage.”

→ Wiring Connections

Making the right connections is important in any project. The right tools can help make sure that your project is a success and can help you overcome any hiccups along the way. In the case of our Klipsch R26F review, the dual 5-way binding posts allow you to connect your speaker using either banana plugs or bare wire. At the same time, the bi-wiring and bi-amping capabilities let you use multiple cables to get your sound system setup just how you want it.

The importance of terminals can’t be overstated, and the ones on this speaker are high quality—not only do they look good, but they will provide excellent sound transfer and can handle all types of wiring.

Bi-amping is where the speaker has dedicated amplifier channels for each driver (woofer, midrange, tweeter), and bi-wiring means that you have dedicated wires for each driver. The advantage of bi-wiring is that it allows the amp to “see” each driver separately so that it can fine-tune each one individually (because each driver will react differently to the same input signal).

So, in this case, we have 5-way binding posts that allow for the connection of up to five sets of wires to be attached to it at once. This gives you plenty of options for hooking up your system to another speaker using banana plugs, spades, or bare wire.

Verified User Review:

“You can run two sets of speaker wire to them for bi-wiring or bi-amping, which really just means you can run a separate set of wire for the high- and low-frequency drivers. So basically, if you have a separate amp driving the top and bottom part of your speaker, you can connect both to these and get awesome sound quality.”

→ Tractrix Horn

The unique 90×90 horn design is what has people so excited about the R-26F. It has a little more bite than your typical horn and can really crank out those high frequencies. In addition, the aluminum tweeter helps push out an impressive amount of high-end response for a speaker in this category, and the greater extension is going to give you a boost in sound quality when you’re listening to music that goes as high as you like to turn it up.

The speakers also have a wide dispersion pattern, which means they’re going to project sound in every direction evenly—meaning that everywhere you sit in relation to them, you’re going to get an even mix of treble, mid, and bass frequencies. This enhances the imaging and makes it easy to pick out specific instruments.

This speaker just sounds natural overall. It manages to give you the full spectrum of notes in your music without any kind of amplification or adjustment at all, which means that when you listen with the R-26F by your side, the music is going to sound like it’s coming out of a real live band instead of just some kind of robot version.

Verified User Review:

“I’m usually skeptical of new gadgets, but I’ve been using these speakers for over a year now, and I’m still head-over-heels in love with them.

I want to make my music sound as natural as possible when I play it on my system, so it makes sense that I’d like speakers that use the tractrix horn design. The 90×90 horn has wide dispersion patterns and produces clear high frequencies to give me the best listening experience possible.

I don’t know if there’s another speaker out there that can compete with these!”

→ Front Grille

klipsch-r-26f-front

If you’re looking for a speaker that looks as good as it sounds, the Klipsch R26F floorstanding speaker is for you. Its acoustically transparent grille lets the sound shine through, so your home theater setup will look as good as it sounds. The grille is also removable, meaning you can have the option of showing off its well-crafted design or concealing it when you need to protect against dust and potential damage.

Verified User Review:

“It’s the best of both worlds! The design of these speakers is perfect. I love that you can see the drivers, but I also love that you can cover them up if you want to.”

→ Technical

The R26F has a lot to love about it:

Its RMS output power is 100 watts, which is enough to fill most living rooms with sound. And if you’re looking to throw a party, the R-26F’s 400-watt peak power will make sure everyone hears your music. Plus, the speaker doesn’t distort even when you turn it up all the way!

It also has a minimum frequency response of 35 Hz, which means that you’ll be able to hear all the bass in every movie and song without it sounding distorted. And with a maximum frequency response of 24 kHz, you’ll be able to hear all the highs and mids without any artificial boosting or distortion.

This speaker’s sensitivity rating of 97 dB means that it will give off about as much sound as another speaker with a rating of 100 dB—but since it has less impedance and doesn’t need as much power to get going, you won’t have to spend as much money on your equipment overall.

Verified User Review:

“When I first saw these speakers, I thought, “Wow. These are some good-looking speakers.” And then I heard them! I was completely blown away by the sound quality of something so sleek and compact, and that’s when I decided to buy them.

I’ve been using them for a few weeks now and couldn’t be happier. They offer great sound with a wide range of frequency responses, from 35 Hz to 24 kHz. The bass is strong but not overpowering like a lot of speakers tend to be in this price range, thanks to the 8 Ohm impedance. The sensitivity is 97 dB, which means you can crank up the volume without sacrificing clarity or quality of sound.”

The Downsides

The Klipsch R-26F Speakers do a really great job of making your home theater experience a well-rounded, immersive experience.

As in, if you’re watching a movie and there’s a roller coaster scene or anything else that calls for some crazy sound effects, these speakers will provide you with the kind of sound that will make you question whether or not you’re actually on a roller coaster.

And you know how in movies sometimes there’s some sort of a car chase? Well, in R-26F speakers, you’ll swear that you’re right there next to the car—that your tires are screeching and everything.

The only thing is… they’re not the most ideal for audiophiles. So if you’re looking for a speaker system that will blow your mind with music quality and make it feel like you’re sitting in the front row at the concert of your dreams, I would personally recommend you to pair them with a sub.
